Fans vs Supporters

Im a supporter because i go home and away to support them. I also moan my bollocks when we lose. I pay for the right to moan because i go to the games. I moan because i care so much and that dosnt make me less of a supporter than someone who never moans.

Most fans are supporters, it is more or less the same thing.

There are people who claim to be both but are neither.

completely disagree with the whole fans vs supporters theory and anybody that says they are a better supporter than me because they have the fortune to go to games, buy merchandise etc etc.

A fan is somebody who 'likes' a team, but makes no contributuion i.e not going to the match. A supporter is somebody who financially supports the team.

In the U.S. "fan" and "supporter" are synonymous.

For me, we are all supporters of Manchester City FC. Then within the 'supporters/fans' there are different levels of passion and commitment.
