Haaland was likely to be the choice for an awful lot of players for the triple captain chip. Throw in the fact that he was up against a newly promoted team that week. He ended up with two goals that night (13 pts in total). He's only bettered that haul three times this season this season (20 pts in GW 4 and 16 pts in GWs 10 & 12). You're taking a gamble whenever you activate the triple captain chip. You could do it against Brentford next week and he gets sent off after 15 minutes. The next time he plays, he gets 0 goals. As for the double GW factor, that is no guarantee of big points. He could end up with two non scoring/contributing games, netting you 12 pts over the two games.

Agree. People over think the dbl game wk. But I have waited and have cpt Haaland as I think many have.

I did not know that. My team was looking fairly settled but I'm now thinking do I need to get him back. I got saka in when afcon started and he did little at first but has just started delivering points.

This double game week is a little unique though, Liverpool and City both on doubles, rags, Arsenal and Brighton all with expected easy fixtures
