Watching the selection trends is helpful, but sometimes in the opposite direction: finding differentiators is key to success in FPL and sometimes managers collectively move in the wrong direction.

It may not be this match round, but I strongly suspect Joao Pedro is going to get more minutes and will score differentiator level points in the coming weeks.
