Personally I don't think you acted well at all. So what if the train was full. Had I been sat in a seat which appeared to be reserved for someone else then I would have just stood up, but that's just me.
You arguing the toss with the Polish couple, although their ethnicity shouldn't have been brought into the tale btw doesn't suggest again that you acted well. In my view, but that's just me.
Simply because somebody had the 'nerve' to tell you he thought that you were wrong did that make him a shitbag? Or a shit house? I think not. Far too many people turn the other way these days and don't intervene when something which appears to be unjust, or illegal, (not that I am suggesting your tale is in anyway an act of illegality) is taking place.
Then to slap somebody whilst sleeping,or pretending to be sleeping isn't an act of valor is it? If you really wanted to remonstrate, then you would have. No excuses of off duty Police.
Basically, to kick off over a seat is pathetic, shit is happening in this world and to get worked up over a fucking seat is sad. To want resort to voilence over a seat if fucking sad. For fuck sake it's a poxy seat. Is it worth hurting somebody over, or getting hurt? I think not, but that's just me.
