Whats your favorite line(s) from an oasis song?Theres so many great ones
Mines from some might say

Some might say they don't believe in Heaven
Go and tell it to the man who lives in Hell

From little by little! The whole song is brilliant but this verse especially, very philosophical!

True perfection has to be imperfect
I know that that sounds foolish but it's true
The day has come
And now you'll have to accept
The life inside your head we give to you

yeh love that verse. Noel Gallaghers a lyrical genius

I can't tell you the way I feel because the way I feel is oh so new to me.

Best description of being pilled up little Noely ever wrote although Liam has always claimed to have had some lyrics in this and to be fair 'There we were now here we are' is a fairly Liam esque thing to say.

I could be walking straight into a Clarkie here however, as much as I like Oasis and Noel, a 'lyrical genius' he certainly is not.

Great ear for melody, unfairly maligned guitarist, soulful voice – yes.
but excellent lyricist nope can’t have that at all.

Them all over. Never been a massive fan of Oasis, but felt a sense of pride about them? Loved Def maybe. Them bolded words are fucking lines. That song is their best by far.

One Way Road
I wanna get high, but I really can't take the pain
'Cos it will blow away my soul like a hurricane
I'm like a one man band
clapping in the pouring rain
If I know where I'm going, I don't
know from where I came

Gas Panic
What tongueless ghost of sin crept through my curtains?
Sailing on a sea of sweat on a stormy night
I think he don't got a name but I can't be certain
And in me he starts to confide

My pulse pumps out a beat to the ghost dancer
My eyes are dead and my throat's like a black hole
And if there's a god would he give another chance?
An hour to sing for his soul

here's a thought for everyman who tried to understand what's in his hands,
he took a walk along an open road of love and life, surviving if he can,
bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say,
chained to all the places that he never wished to stay,
and as he faced the sun he cast no shadow.

or

you've got how many bills to pay and how many kids?
have you forgot about the things that we did,
the town where you're living has made you a man,
and all of your dreams are washed away in the sand.

-- Sun Oct 31, 2010 6:48 pm --

?

Truly the most powerful lyrics ever written

;)

But seriously, for one of their most famous songs the lyrics are fairly shite
