Favourite Beer

A bottle of Furstenburg is hard to beat. And when I say hard to best, I actually mean, it can't. So you can all switch to it or fuck off..
Looks a bit sophisticated for you Mr pole. Have the local mace shop run out of buckfast and tennants?

Years ago (and it may still well be sold) I used to have the 60/- (shiilings) 70/- which I think was Deuchars, but I`m happy to be proved wrong.Years ago there were two different Deuchars Breweries, one was Robert and the other was James.

Its still open as a brewery I went to Dundee last year and had a good few. Didnt know there were 2 breweries

Was never really into Stouts , remember my gran would send me to the ‘outdoor’ to get her a jug of stout on special occasions , sat there with her stout in one hand & a cigar in the other ....she was like ma Baker !
I enjoyed the one I had , came in a job lot box that seven brothers do , I wouldn’t waste it but it was the nicest in the box to be honest, I must try some more .

My gran use to drink Mackeson but that was 55 years ago

Moorland old crafty hen and the most potent of all the hen batches @6.5% so take care and sip it like a fine old wine. They say their Master Brewer has created a premium, vintage oak beer, which delivers the oak-aged fruitiness and raisiny notes from Old 5X with the lighter malt and toffee of Old Speckled Hen.

Devils Backbone from Tims gaff. Refreshing IPA and one of the best available from the Spoon Stable.

Mcweans Champion is a very nice if a little on the strong side. Very nice mouthfeel and esposing value for money at £1.50 a bottle. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/250906669

Bishops Finger .. always be on my watch-list from shepherd Neame. It is absolutely delightful in every way and such a shame to swallow. They say and I quote ..Its named from an ancient signpost on the pilgrims way pointing pilgrims to the Shrine of Thomas A Becket at Canterbury Cathedral and is one of the oldest names in British beer, this classic British ale is brewed with chalk-filtered mineral water from deep beneath the brewery and Shepherd Neame's signature Kentish hops.

Bought a "Perfectdraft" beer system in the summer after being fed up of drinking from cans and bottles during Lockdown.
Since then been drinking at home, draft pints of Stella, Lowenbrau, Jupiler, Spaten, Becks Gold and Hertog Jan, amongst others also had Lowenbrau Ocktoberfest Special at 5.9%. They have a Kwak at 8.4%, but I'm too much of a coward to try that one
They have lots of different Leffes and IPA's, available and they've just brought out a Dark Arts Surreal Stout from Magic Rock Brewing Company,, bought a can from Tesco today to give it a try before I order a full 6 litre Keg.
