Favourite City Photograph

A wise choice to go up there, my friend. Little did you know that you would have to wait 44 years…

Seriously, I'm very jealous of anyone who was there. More innocent days, when what we paid through the turnstiles actually paid for the players' wages. Or so I choose to believe. I was a bit too little myself. My first year of supporting City (yes, always been a glory hunter!), I was about thirteen, absolutely no other City fan (or indeed football fan) in the family to take me. I may well have been away at boarding school at that point in the year, too. So that put the kibosh on that.
I've been trying to contact David Mooney to get him to do a special, with Sam Roscoe, on those who were there that day. Something that could fit well in the podcast extra, it seems to me. They are, quite literally, a dying breed, or at the least getting very elderly. It may be the last chance. I'm absolutely certain there'd be a cartload of great memories. No joy in contacting Mooney so far (sorry, I don't do Facebook, Instagram, or any of that guff: they are the mark of the devil, as far as I'm concerned). If anybody's in touch? Or if he's reading this? Just a suggestion.
I was a mere lad of 18 then, still at school ("A" level year), and missed 5 matches all season - 3 home, 2 away, paid for by a collecting round I did.
When working, I had 3 consecutive seasons without missing a game played in the UK, including friendlies, and managed to watch every home match (all competitions) from August 67 to April 75. Then I got married, and away matches mostly disappeared.
I'm now much older, not necessarily wiser (definitely wider), and still go the the home matches via my seasoncard in EL304, and , of course, Wembley!

Where's it gone?

Fernandihno is an immortal. He looks exactly the same. Everyone else aged since their signing. :?

I don't think it was an outtake. I have the same version and I think it was the only one published. Team photos in those days were more relaxed than they are now. I remember a Millwall pic at that time with Eamonn Dunphy sat on the front row with his left bollock hanging out of his shorts.
I saw that pic too, it was in a magazine some clubs gave out with programmes, Football League Review I think it was.

So many great pictures in this thread, can't quote them all, but perhaps my fave's are those of the old Maine Road ground, sadly i never got chance to go.

But, i suppose one of my fave moments is the very first City goal i ever saw, Yaya finishing of Utd at Wembley in '11
