Favourite ever season.

87/88 was a favourite of mine. I went to work in London at 18 and tagged on to the Supporters club. Went to all homes and most aways that season. Some cracking days out.

2011-12 for me. Beating United home and away, with that 6-1 at O.T., and culminating in that eternal climax by Aguero; snatching the title from the neighbours so uniquely on that fateful day. It was joyous beyond dreams, after the dark period when Tevez knocked us off course with his shenanigans, and after waiting so many years - for me at least - meant much more than any other of our title successes. We were still the new kids on the block, and it was the most rewarding piece of piss-boiling EVER!

Next season is going to be our best.

all of them really , but i'd say 67/68.

74 is worth a shout :)
Yeah, 67/68 my favourite too. A brilliant Maine Road record (w19 d2 lost O), a bit average away. Lots of goals and, of course, King Colin.

17-2-2 at home that season. Rags and West Brom beat us at home.

I'll think a bit more on my favourite season, too many of them.

Got to be 75, 76 for me. I was a young fit man and saw us win a cup final at Wembley. The atmosphere on the Kippax for the rags league Cup quarter only exceeded by the boro semi. The icing on the cake was the rags humiliating FA Cup final defeat deserved humiliation for Docherty. We had a great side only downside was the injury to Colin Bell never forgiven Buchan. We have had vastly more successful seasons since but everything is better when you are young.

Surprised no one has mentioned 2010 2011. Our first real trophy for 35 years and champions league qualification. Best of all the semi final win over the rags, the day they realised their nightmare had begun. I didn't mention it as my favourite as I only got to a couple of games, don't think any game ever meant more to me than semi final victory over the rags. Suddenly we were a major force again and have been ever since.

Honourable mentions for :
67/68 - Champions and such a thrilling team to watch, always on the front foot with an exciting attack of 5 genuine forwards.
69/70 - First trip to Wembley, two great Cup wins, one of them in Europe. Often overlooked that we knocked out Liverpool, Everton (league winners) and the rags on the way to Wembley.
2001/02 - KK's non-stop attack to get out of the 2nd tier, Ali B and Berkovic often playing at Champions League level in the Championship. Some great awaydays too that season.
2018/19 - Finishing with 14 straight league wins to keep Liverpool out was astonishing enough, even without the Cup wins.

In the end, I've gone for 2011/12 - First league title for 44 years - Mancini putting the rags back in their box, the 6-1, the Aguero moment, Silva, Yaya, Kompany etc. Unforgettable.

Bar the league winning seasons, I loved 10/11 - a seismic season in becoming a ‘big’ club.

The Summer transfer window and the infamous picture of Mancini, Kolarov, Silva, Yaya and Boateng.

Mario’s antics

Poznan

Tevez being unstoppable and winning the Golden Boot

The FA semi against United

Beating Tottenham at home and qualifying for Champs League

and winning the FA cup and tearing that fucking banner down!

“34 years, and we’re still here”

2001/2002 was a great season and the pressure wasn’t the same as the 1968,2012, 2014,2019 and 2022 seasons!

taken years off my life watching City over the years.

Wherever it ranks in people's minds, there was just something special about that season that makes it loved by so many of us. The ship had already been steadied by Joe but it was still often a slog, however that season was like a weight was lifted off our shoulders. We played with a swagger and it was simply fun in a way it hadn't been for much of our recent past. KK was just what we needed at that time, it threw the windows open and let the light and the joy back in. Getting a bit emotional just thinking about it!!

Centurions easily. Single greatest side this country has ever seen. We didn't win it until march/April but realistically it was won by December before we even lost a game. Easy to forget the points we actually dropped that year a lot we shouldn't have and var would have sorted. Everton first home game was a crazy red card that never was cost us 2 points, seem to remember being on the end of the at that time usual Anfield joke decisions when we lost 4-3, palace draw that halted our record win streak should have had a player sent off for an assault on kdb then there was an unexplainable draw at Burnley before failing apart in the Derby and once we had it won a draw against Huddersfield because we were still pissed from the celebrations. That season was extremely close to perfection, we were witnessing something nobody had ever seen before and the jesus goal with the last kick to send the away end mental in the basking sun just topped it all off. We've had more exciting races and moments in other seasons but that will take some beating as an entire season

98/99 purely because it was a completely new experience, new grounds, us being everyone's cup final, I did 43 games that year.

Second would be 11/12, how can you not include the year that ended that way, including who we beat to the title?

Third is the Centurion season, just incredible.

Pep's title winning seasons have always had heart-breaking moments in them.

2017-18 -> Losing to Liverpool 3 in a row, losing to United at home after 2-0 up. Liverpool lost the CL final, so that made up for it somewhat.
2018-19 -> Spurs in CL
2020-21 -> CL final
2021-22 -> Madrid, FA Cup semifinal

2011-12 was the best, 13-14 also comes close. (less expectations those days, so the seasons were more enjoyable)
