Most of those Covent Garden carton ones are great- but, come on, anything with cheese in it is just not a soup but one of those Swiss apres ski dip things gone badly wrong.
It has to be home-made. My favourite are good old vegetable soup made with turkey stock, or tomato and lentil, honourable mentions to pea and ham and leek and potato though.
Home made hot & sour soup hmmmmm. The reason i say home made is because its incredibaly hard to get a good hot & sour soup from a chinese chippy or restraunt naw days. As most ruin it by putting spam or some other processed pork into it instead of proper chunks of pork.
