Favourite opening day matches and memories?

Now I may have got so much wrong here. First game? First home game ? 72 73 season definitely. 2 0 ? Win definitely. Spurs ?. What do I certainly remember, got the bus from the coast to Mosely St. Had a shed full of beer in Britain's Protection, a pie and chips dinner in the caff next door. More beer in the Parkside really enjoyed the match before heading home for more drink in a local pub. Robbed a Union Jack from a nearby amusements on the way home saw some service at Maine Rd and England internationals. 16 years old 50 years ago in a couple of weeks. Anyone fill in my memory gaps in what was a happy day of underage drinking and youthful stupidity. First up not the last time I was sick on drink.

My lads first Premier League game was 2002. 1st home game was against Newcastle which we won 1-0. Think it was Sylvan Distin's home debut and iirc we got him from Newcastle, but I remember thinking he was an absolute Rolls Royce of a centre back.

As a 9 year old I was hyped for our first division 1 game I could remember.

Not sure I’ll ever have the build up to that game ever again, but we lost at the dippers 3-1.

e slowestLeicester away 1976/77. Drew 2-2.

Roasting day and thousands of excited Blues turned up: Someone even tried to set the embankment alight on the way to thTh
12 at the time . Remember walking passed a boozer on the way to the ground with our kid and hearing the slowest and most pissed up walk on i`ve ever heard in my life ! We were in that little corner section for away fans and it was packed . Thr guys on the gate were accepting cash and allowing fans to jib over the turnstile . Remember we had a good following over in the opposite corner in the standing paddock .

Think it was the first game of the season . The evening game vrs Leicester at home and Barney Daniels got a few . We were front row in the North stand that night . Sure we won 3-1 .
