Righto mate, of course, there's no curries to be had over here LOL.
I drove 48 miles round trip for a decent curry last Friday! They can stick their Kyoto treaty up their arse says I.

Be thankful you can get one though mate! The only decent curry I've had in America was Minnesota! I love a drive north but that's a bit further then Manchester to Scotland LOL.

I've got the nut hand & everyone beat (who's posted so far):-

Abdul's (on Oxford Road) - grilled Chicken kebab, that's real pieces of tender meat on a skewer flame cooked, with a little chili, served wrapped in a naan with their mint sauce and crunchy veggies + a samosa or two if you're really hungry, washed down with a beer. Bloody hell... it's murder being over here in the USA and thinking about it.

(and it's no wonder that returning folks from overseas head down there at the first opportunity... I'm not the only one!)

Even beats chips from that all-time great that is sadly no more, 'The City Chippy' (RIP)

Dont get me wrong, i know takeaways taste nice, well kebabs and curries do anyway.

I dont bother with them anymore, expensive and bad for you.

I still get the very rare kebab when im steaming. I used to get takeaway every Friday night but now id rather get a large steak from the butchers, make mash potato mixed with mustard and veggies. Beautiful.

Fuck the takeaways, give the money to butchers and greengrocers is say.

Spoil sport.

Actually depends what kind of takeaway you use i think. As a rule for an Indian, i tend to decide if it's worth a visit or not by whether local Indians use it. If they do, it's likely to be reasonably priced, good and traditional (rather than British bastardised versions).
