Favourite Words

Swearing is an art. Some folk (like my paternal grandad) can do it brilliantly. It's all about accentuation, tone and context. If my grandad calls you 'dick head', you know that that's exactly what you are. He's a wonderfully profane chap.

This is known in our house as the "doobry". It's usually the TV remote, but could also be the car keys, the lawnmower or the cat. As in "have you seen the doobry?"

It's often the 'doofer' at ours. My wife has a serious problem with forgetting nouns.
