Favourite World Cup?

As we are in a World Cup year. What’s been your favourite.

I really enjoyed 94 USA. Felt entirely different from anything I’ve watched before. The stadiums all looked amazing. I loved the kits especially the generic adidas ones. Watched some new amazing teams and players for the first time such as Romania/Bulgaria and sweden.

Some natty goals by the likes of stoickov and Hagi. Seeing the likes of batistuta and bergkamp rip it up.

Then the downside of the Colombian lad being killed.

I was 13 at the time and remember doing my paper round as quick. As possible to get home and watch the highlights and goals on Eurosport before I had to go to school.

May not be the most obvious choice as no England but for me it was a great time.

Mexico 86 was the first that I really remember. Panini stickers, Maradona and Gary Linekers bandaged wrist. That's when I first truly fell in love with football.

The first one I can remember was Scotland v Brazil in the France opening game in 98.
It wasn't as big as it is now before that.

Did anyone else have the big arse sticker book from Italia 90. The one that was basically a binder.
