PEP: (On whether @LeroySane19 will start) He’s had one training session. He is young...

Pep: "I don't know if we're ready (to win the Champions League) I have a lot of confidence in these guys, they know that. Our goal is to do better than we did last season, which means going through to the quarter-finals."

PEP: @FCBasel1893 have shown good performances in the group stage. They are good opponents. We will have difficulties here.

Pep on FC Basel: "In the Champions League they play with a back five and put in great performances in the group stage. They're strong, well organised at the back and good on the counter attack. I've already told my players it will be very, very difficult, particularly here."

Not for me mate. If Delph is fit he should play tomorrow, same with Sane. So important we have an advantage to bring home

From what Pep has just said I'd be surprised if Sané was risked, even on the bench. I think we may see a cameo vs Wigan(if the pitch is not resembling Hough End in December).

Think he'll be mainly there for training.

PEP being asked about refs and player protection maybe better in CL compared to England,
he said he has been saying enough about that and it's not the right moment for that now. (IIRC...)

Just a guess based on the fact that we've taken 20 players so 2 of them won't make the squad (one will almost certainly be Muric).

------------------Ederson
Walker--Otamendi-Stones--Zinchenko
---------------Fernandinho
-----------Silva-----De Bruyne
Bernardo-------------------------Sterling
-------------------Aguero

Bravo, Danilo, Laporte, Kompany, Foden, Gundogan, Sané

Score draw wouldn't be end of the world but it would be nice to get the job done and a comfortable win.

I hope the players have learnt from last year. Professional. Tight defensively and score 2-3 and all our nerves will be calmed!
