I’m sure it did once the yellow card was given, but I don’t think they make the same song and dance about it in Europe, do they?I said to Mrs Vienna that I was surprised that VAR didn’t even look at it.
If it had been a red card, it would justifiably have been called a “soft” red, because he did get the ball first BUT he did come into the challenge out of control and with a slightly high follow through.
Everyone had seen them given, but when they’re against your own team, you think they’re soft and when they’re for a foul on a player you love then the dirty bastard has to go!
Watching Bernie’s pained expression is bad enough at any given time, but when it’s because he is actually in serious pain, it’s so much worse.
