Comfortable. We had chances and Grabara kept them in the game and we really didn't need the top gears. Grealish's injury was the only negative. Good job we avoided more injuries with their dirty challenges.

Could have been more, maybe should have been more. But great result, sets us up nicely.
First 20 minutes were excellent. If we can largely stick with that shape and those players for the rest of the season, I think we’ll win the lot.

Would have been criminal if we'd not managed to get a 3rd, so very pleased to get that at the end.

Overall a good performance, some fantastic moments, and some that make you shake your head in disbelief.

Just wish we could be more clinical in the final 3rd, as I think we sometimes take our chances for granted due to the number we create.

That should be tie over now, so hopefully chance to rest a few before Anfield.

Hate to say "I told you so!" but, at 6.19 p.m. in the pre-match thread, I posted:-

"Too many fanny wipes here today. We're the world champions. They might have the odd threat, but, we're in good form; it's our ball, and we'll be keeping it for the most part! Though we struggle to keep clean sheets, I expect a comfortable win, as 'last 16' is their level.
Imho, it'll be like mid-table against the top of the league, so, I'm going 3-1 for City."

Three really good goals. KDB & Foden linking up brilliantly for 1&3 and the finish from Bernardo was top class for the second. Nunes did well on the build up for the 3rd also.

Pretty solid performance overall against a physical team who left their feet in a few times.

Does the job nicely as a two goal lead lets us play the second leg at our tempo in between two big league games.
