Very nice. A comfortable win puts us in a great position to go on and win the group without busting a bollock.

Pep was spot on with team selection and use of subs. Palmer was brilliant. The other two kids got meaningful minutes in a prestigious competition, which can only benefit their self-confidence.

The main commentator actually sounded enthusiastic and pleased to be watching a quality game. Tyler could really do with listening back to himself and how dreary and wearisome he sounds.

I still remember watching city v Wimbledon at main road from the hospitality with 20 plays either side of then half way line

Thoroughly enjoyed watch Palmer, Lewis and Wilson, all three looked so comfortable in that system. When you think Alvarez, Haaland, Foden and Gomez are all still kids pretty much, it’s a frightening thought.

Special praise for our left side attack of Bernie, Jack and Gomez. They looked unstoppable. Also Gundo was sensational.

One other comment about Cole Palmer. He was absolutely brilliant. He’s sending a powerful message to Pep about starting a game.
