Because there is no need to declare a player injured to bring up another to fill his place in the squad. We simply name someone from the EDS or academy to the bench for the match(es).The American in me does not understand the PL approach to injuries. Like why not an injured list?!? I seem to remember his injury record wasn't great before we signed him. I'm sure he's been injured a few times since he got here, but I'm a foc so I could be wrong.
