Jesus sometimes you've just got to laugh. I will say something though that's an impressive amount of wrong in such a short paragraph so kudos on that. Amused me that did.

But then they're not set at 150 are they. I see no issue with how it is currently. There's discussion amongst members most seasons but the pay what you can afford always gets voted back in. Will likely only change if it ever becomes unsustainable. As it is I'm proud of the current scheme and hope it continues indefinately as it means nobody gets excluded because of their finances. Which is how football should be.
OK, so how much was a season ticket for this season?

I think Shirley meant those days strolling through the NWCL, players were dropping down divisions to play for then Bury Rag Socks as they were being paid slightly more than the average team in those leagues due to the crowds attending games.

That's exactly what I was trying to describe although many at the time used the word bullying rather than strolling.
Cheers MES

Having a ready made fan base of several thousand and financial clout which no other club could compete with when you were formed. I think it's you what's wrong rewriting your short history every time you appear on here as nothing more and nothing less than a mouthpiece.
Okay well you got the fan bit right but we've never had financial clout. If you actually knew what you were talking about you'd know that other than season 1 when we received initial donations and the year we got to the 2nd round of the FA Cup we've made a loss every single year primarily because of having to pay extortionate amounts to rent our temporary home venues.

As we speak we have one of the lowest wage budgets in the league dispite having the 2nd highest attendance. It's not as simple as you like to think. And to add to that back in our formative years in the games we played at our opposition's home grounds the revenue they made from that one game amounted to what they would usually make over many years so they were churning out pretty healthy profits whilst our revenue was being drained renting Bury.

As I like to call them.
That's amazing what you've done there. Bet your mates in the playground were impressed.

Except they weren't, players dropping divisions were taking pay cuts to turn out at a league ground in front of thousands within a relatively professional setup that occasionally got to play in other countries. That is what other clubs couldn't compete with and still can't to a lesser degree.

Many at the time were idiots then, to this day we still have a great relationship with many of the North West counties clubs.

They may well have taken pay cuts to drop divisions but they were still paid more than what other regular NWCL players were receiving.
You are like a politician who can never give a straight answer.... Full of spin.
