Nothing economical about those facts there is a suggested donation sure but it is precisely that, a suggestion to those who can afford to pay a bit extra. Nobody has to pay over the minimum but people do to help finance their club and allow us to survive in the league we are in. So no it isn't a scam. In fact a few other clubs have taken on our idea and implemented it themselves. Good on them.Being a little economical with the facts there..... yes it is pay as you want.... but then there is the little matter of ''and then make a donation to the club with a suggested (was it 70 quid??) too''.
Is this a tax scam? As you will pay tax on the price of a season ticket, but not on the donation. Hmmm
Dear Inland Revenue,
I was wondering if you can help me with a question......?
Not that many, with the odd exception of course, Stockport / Salford etc. The majority still only bring double figures. How many more away fans do you get now compared to the heady days of the NWCL?
Not sure how discussing my club is provocative. Few others fit that description before I do.Why do you keep feeding this boring troll?
So just say prices are set at 150 quid but the pay as you can afford minimum is 60 quid. I pay the 60 but then add another 40 as a donation. I have therefore paid 100 - of which only 60 was taxable.Nothing economical about those facts there is a suggested donation sure but it is precisely that, a suggestion to those who can afford to pay a bit extra. Jesus sometimes you've just got to laugh. I will say something though that's an impressive amount of wrong in such a short paragraph so kudos on that. Amused me that did.As a club and fans they have bullied their way through the lower leagues with resources no other club at that level can compete with. However they describe it they wanted instant success and I doubt any of their so called fans would have the balls to support a real and proper grass roots non league football team.
Lower level glory hunters.
But then they're not set at 150 are they. I see no issue with how it is currently. There's discussion amongst members most seasons but the pay what you can afford always gets voted back in. Will likely only change if it ever becomes unsustainable. As it is I'm proud of the current scheme and hope it continues indefinately as it means nobody gets excluded because of their finances. Which is how football should be.So just say prices are set at 150 quid but the pay as you can afford minimum is 60 quid. I pay the 60 but then add another 40 as a donation.
