when have football fans ever had a say in the big leagues with there clubs it does not happen yes lots blow smoke up the arss but deep down its just a price of a ticket to them. the chairman or the board can do what they like its there money and club you are just numbers to them

football is not about glory and winning silverware or we are the biggest club in the world shit its about what you are and your born to a club in good or bad. you give them your support and money and never really ask for anything back. but the one thing you should never do it give up on them. if things are not going your way so what maybe your way is wrong and the chairman and the board are right

break away clubs are never going to be that club for the people who found it and made it happen. your first love and club are set in stone united is in your blood and don't come on here and say other wise. why have links to united sing united songs have the old manchester utd badge of sorts wear the utd colours or even have the united name if you hate them that much. why not moston grass hoppers or moston red tops even newton heath railway but FCUM its stinks to high hell and says what you really all are united fans

very much like the early days of the premier league and united winning it every season it got boring and nobody wanted to watch other than united fans. you need investment and others to challenge and if that takes outside money then you go and get it. the english leagues are the best in the world and clubs don't want to settle for 2nd best and have the so called power house club winning everything. only the premier can host 6 top teams all have a chance at the start of the season that's got to be good for football

I have to confess that I began reading this thread to make fun but have become increasingly impressed by @NorthManc7 and his arguments. I too have become increasingly disillusioned by modern football and the pirouetting tarts that masquerade as footballers. I think the disillusionment is growing and the guy who sits next to me at the Etihad have many whispered conversations about what is wrong with the atmosphere at our games. Like nothmanc i too am dismayed at how often my voice goes unheard by the big wigs at the club and despite my passionate pleas to 'get it forward' and 'launch it' I am increasingly ignored. Modern football is crap and next time we run out of chips at the Etihad I will be taking my stand against the skyopoly and joining northmanc on the terraces. U N I T E D that spells Football Club of Manchester to me. With a knick knack paddywhack give a dog a bone. Football is coming home

Don't do it Mrbelfry, join me to form another club. We could get other mug......sorry fans to donate money, get the council to move teams off their ground (Fog Lane seems reasonable ). Once we have a sizable core of mug..........sorry fans ,we could rename ourselves City of Manchester FC.
