They could ground share with the rags?

To be clear I am not proposing that the Rag Mini Me's would go to the swamp but that the rags would relocate from the crumbling edifice of the swamp to a ground it better condition. Also the reduced maximum capacity would mean all those rags who are fair weather and really don't want to go to the swamp to watch the meagre fayre on offer they can fall back on the old excuse - "can't get a ticket" - and be freed from their enslavement

They still get very good attendances so should do well in theory. However they get nothing like when they started and had 100 times the budget of any rival, but still should double a lot of the division in terms of resources. The fan model doesn't work when it comes to retaining players.

Colne was a ground issue, they had mega investment for 2 years and destroyed everyone, but were more or less on a park pitch with a rope around it so couldn't get in the conference and all money was then pulled.
Correct about Colne - what did it for Colne was they asked Burnley to let them share Turf Moor for a season while their ground was developed. Burnley were in the 4th Division at the time and were shit scared of Colne over taking them and taking crowds away from Turf Moor so they said no.
The conference wouldn't let them play at their ground in the condition it was in so Colne's owner (Chalkie White??) simply stuck two fingers up and folded the club

Colne Dynamos, Rushden & Diamonds, Gretna etc. The non-league world is full of stories of clubs who invested money, burned brightly for a while, then faded away and folded. This lot are on the same path. I’d personally give ‘em another 4-5 years.
Thing is all those clubs you mention were owned by one individual and when they jacked it in (or as in Gretna's case passed away) the clubs folded.
You can throw in Dave Pace at Droylsden and we saw what happened with Chelsea and Abramovich this year.
The Rag Socks are different in that they are owned equally (stop laughing @ancoats ) with everyone having one share so unless the council call in the debt (hardly likely) they will be around a while.

Exactly how it was written and posted on Linkedin.

So they actually use the media’s obsessive fawning over all things rag related as a selling point for sponsors? Plus the fact that even they have loads of try hard plastics overseas? Hahahahahahahahaha

A couple of things to add are if the glazers sell big brother, then what is the point in keeping the breakaway club running, also you can only keep your head above the water for so long before giving up

Was at the game today as my son and his mates watch Radcliffe home games when City aren't playing and so I provided the transport to the game. They have a fair few knuckle draggers in their home support for sure. Nice to see Radcliffe win though and send the turn coats home decked out in their green and gold scarves.
