FC United Thread

They probably include every post in this thread as being part of their "social media networks".

£45k a year? wow
So they have to bring in that amount in sponsorship just to stand still. Any less and once more they are heammoraging money again.
£45k a year's wages is an amazing amount for a Non-League club.
Once again this season, they will not get promoted, so will continue playing smallish clubs like Ashton United. £45k for AUFC would go a massive way towards their total wage bill for the season.
How can the Moston Red Sox afford such a salary ?
Is it because they assume or even know that Manchester City Council will continue to give them financial support ?

This is the club who had a general manager and his fellow ex Militant pal both on £30K a year, 10 years ago! Think his job title was ''Head of Communications'' or something. And the fans wonder why they are £2m in debt and still chucking good money away into buckets every home game.

Enough about Moston, let's get back to laughing at the Splitters.

They have a Commercial Managers job going - £45K would you believe.

Anyway I noted they are following "Big Red" in the bullshit Social Media numbers game.

"By joining FC United you can expect to be part of something special. You’ll be working for a club that has one of the highest profiles in the English non-league game. We have 3,200 members, more than 2,000 passionate, invested supporters at our home games and almost one million engaged followers worldwide via our social media networks."

They are also following the rags in bending the truth, it seems.

OK, not so much bending it, as breaking it into little pieces.
Hahaha ‘punk football’ my arse
What a bunch of deluded posers

Has their wage bill been compared to City's yet?

They really are. They cite their worldwide following as if it's something they're responsible for themselves. They've simply piggybacked onto a global sporting brand which they played an utterly negligible role in creating. Large numbers of their social media fuckwits probably think there's an official connection with the real United. What a fucking embarrassment they are.

well all of FCUM fans still go to OT or watch Big Brother on tv ? Never could understand fans of a breakaway club and hating of the glazers and anti-corporate football so much, but they still supporting its main club ? i just don't get it

A ‘breakaway’ club that hasn’t broken away. Instead operates as the football equivalent of a Benidorm tribute act. Yet displaying all the haughty arrogance and hubris of the mothership.
People in the background coining it in while exploiting the deluded rubes with a tawdry cloak of fake independence, to be cast aside as and when ‘Big Red’ are doing well again

As The Clash once said:

The new groups are not concerned
“With what there is to be learned
“They got burton suits, huh, you think it's funny
“Turning rebellion into money”
