I notice we are back to discussing our deal with the council.
The simple fact is, Manchester City Council wanted the Olympics.
They were fucked off.
For that reason they bid for the Commonwealth games.
When they did they had no idea and no plan.
The first people they asked about using a stadium was the rags.
They said no.
We were second choice.
If we had said no it is likely Manchester would have lost the games. Yes there is talk about a temporary stadium but in all honesty, that was bollocks.
The council needed us and in some respect, we needed them.
The rest is history.
Manchester City Council have done very well out of the deal as we have.
To compare it to this abomination is ludicrous.
Not sure from that if my addled memory has any credibility…
But it’s Friday night, Beth Hart is oozing out of the cd player, 3 swords is filling the glass and I’m buzzing.

So what was the price for Maine Road and Land, I thought we sold Maine road and land we owned to the MCC.
Also we have had 3 or 4 major refits at the Etihad that City paid for plus the New Northstand so it all adding up close to close to £1billion City have put into the stadium
Yeah it was all handed to MCC but I’ve never seen the value that was put on Maine Road. There were the demolition costs which would be a been substantial, of course the land was sold for housing so I’m sure there’s was a profit.
I would guess the extensions have cost close to £500m then there is 21 years of lease costs around £100m and maintenance

We got £25m for Maine Road

Didn't we have major work on the Colin bell stand that cost a pretty penny and some more seats added in the lower levels Plus a new club shop that has now gone and also the City Square?

I looked at the first couple of seasons and before the new owners bought the club and the ground looks different both outside and in,
