Have they thought about setting up a break away club?

The begging bowl is out already. Their website this morning.

2016/17 FC United season tickets now on sale.

This means that once again this year, we will be setting the minimum price of an adult season ticket at a very affordable £100. However, in order to meet our financial targets, we would greatly appreciate it if supporters, who can afford it, add a donation to the minimum season ticket price.

We are suggesting an average donation of £60, on top of the £100 ticket price so that we raise at least £160 from each ticket sold. This is equivalent to an entry price of less than £8 per match, because there will be 21 home league matches in the Vanarama National League North next season. Supporters who are able to pay more than £160 are encouraged to do so as every extra pound we raise is invested in the club and helps us to plan financially for the season ahead.

So the sad bastards are asking supporters to stump up another 60% on top of the original cost of their ST?

Cheeky fuckers!

Are you fucking sure ?

Just wondering if there is a little scam going on here....... season ticket income is taxable (I assume??) where as a donation is not.
So a member pays the £100 and the club pay the tax on that sum, and pocket the £60 extra (not sure whose pocket though lol)

But as said above, who in their right mind would stump up cash in advance to a company currently with an expenditure greater than the source of income? Certainly not before the forthcoming EGM?
