FC United Thread

The figure you are referring to is the average we need over the course of a season to achieve budget for that specific area I believe. I know that we made a profit on the FA Cup replay against Stockport on a similar attendance and they got half the gate receipts.

Your question was answered about a thousand times back in 2005 if you cared to research. No other club were United, supporter owned and a visible fuck you to the Glazers and modern football in short ;)

My interest in Turncoast FC doesn't move much past clicking on this thread occasionally and my original question.

Yeah because following a division 6 club fighting relegation is all about the winning ;)
Haha, do f*ck off.

You didn't start following a "division 6 club fighting relegation" though did you ?

You started following a new club, who started with several thousand fans in the lowest possible league (well it wasn't actually, as you'd have started in a Sunday pub league if it was true), a league where everyone else's crowds rarely passed 100, so you started with resources that massively outstripped everyone else.

Brave stuff indeed.

Of course you made a profit in the FA Cup replay against County on a similar 1500 gate - it was a non budgeted for game. Those players on a contract (presumably the majority of players) will have received the same wage if the game was played or not. Stop bullshitting us and yourself.

@NorthManc7 is like every other fcscum fan, they fucked off to support the 'new' side because it made them look all edgy yet they did to the lower leagues exactly what the rags have been doing and paid more for the better players, moved game kick offs to accommodate TV and the money it's brought in.

They're all hypocritical wankers who when ever the rags actually win something still get all excited about it and try gloating to any blues they know.

I too would genuinely like to know why those couple of thousand disillusioned supporters chose to form their own potential lower league monopolising team and not support a local, established non-league team who would have greatfully welcomed the money into their small, potentially struggling coffers. Eh @NorthManc7 ?
Entitled, bullies who do what they want apparently.

Let's be honest half a dozen at every non-league cup would not be able to billy big bollocks it.

I can guarantee north manc 7 has a micro penis but very random retro trainers.

If you're going to have a pop at the club at least do a bit of research and actually provide some evidence because literally none of that is true.

Modern football eh yeah proper shit

Shit atmospheres ...empty seats........no trophies ....no history

council house ground

Well done you sung a song, you know full well the difference between standing on the Kippax and what you have now but gloss over it if you like. How much were those beers? ;)

Difference is we stuck by the club through thick, thin, thinner and almost gone. Poor managers, even poorer owners and some dubious professional footballers but we are still here.

Yes we do know the difference between the kippax then and the Etihad now
We also understand the concept of loyalty
We also understand that if you desert a club because it no longer stands for what you believe in then its a bit hypocritical to set up a club that piggybacks on the success and history of the club you have deserted.
We also understand that taking money from a rich middle east country has dubious moral undertones. Then again we also understand that taking money from local council services to fund a club has equal, if not more, dubious moral undertones.
That will be why we dislike you (and FCUM fans in general) claiming some sort of moral high ground

Having said that, I am always happy to discuss the concept of loyalty and morality, give it your best shot

Same colour kit as the rags
A hybrid City United badge

And the manager who's just left (Carl Marginson) even said they wanted to emulate the traditions of united
Yes he did say that in an interview on national radio

Typical rag behaviour this, move the goalposts and re-write history. Don't make out that your club is about being anti-modern football. It came about purely and simply because the Glazers bought the rags. Fuck all to do with the price of a pint or a ticket, or TV companies of fucking kick off times. This shit had been going on for years and yet only became an issue for you when the Glazers came along and few thousand rags took a protest too far and ended up lying in the beds they'd made while a bit dunk and emotional.
If it was about enjoying lower league football with a beer in your hand there's plenty of clubs who would have loved your support.

Fairly certain one of your reasons for starting a new club was kick offs being moved, something you were dead set against, yet you then moved a cup tie to a Friday or Monday to accommodate bbc. You’re all hypocrites mate.

Also haven’t you used the big club bollocks to take over Moston Juniors pitches, I’m fsirly certain they weren’t happy about being kicked off the Ronald Johnson playing fields to accommodate that monstrous stadium of yours.

One last question, who do you want to win the Prem this season.

back in 1992 sky and united took over the running the league why did FCUM not form a club back then sky had just paid money into man united with a stake in shares that's right you got it all your own way for 20 years everything was so pro- united the FA let them pull out of the fa cup to play in a club world cup that's how much power united had over the rest and the games was shocking to watch a ref giving united everything and at OT dare not up set fergie

the clowns at FCUM was always united fans still are there first call to arms would be for united mark my words if big brother needed them the rats would jump ship its so funny hearing about the money from the glazers is why they formed a break away what about the money from sky that built your club all them super sunday tv money add's up over the years and that money was not from your fans everybody had to pay to watch live football and united was on every week

your club and fans are so 2 faced you don't know what the hell your fight for and the hate for city leeds liverpool comes from your big brother

Our local FCUM is probably the most egotistical, arrogant gobshite I've met in the last 10 years. Gets a bit drunk in the pub and starts gobbing off at fans of any other team, premier league or not, about how he loves "real" football. He's a cûnt and nobody likes him, not even the scum fans.
