Prescot Cables have a decent following and I’d guess probably bought a good couple hundred. So zero meaningful increase in their usual base crowd.

The council have fallen for the sunken cost fallacy. They can’t face the embarrassment & offered them extra cash, ridiculous preferential terms on loans they couldn’t repay & senior staff members to help bail out their board. Any other club or company in their situation would have been would up ages ago.

Misconduct in a public office as this is clearly misappropriation of public funds. MCC really should be investigated for this whole debacle.
