FC United thread

Made all the sweeter when you see the first goal they conceded. The standard of football they play is atrocious yet they’re just about to rubber stamp a massive season ticket rise for next year as too many people weren’t paying the appropriate donation/tax dodge.

That is feckin hilarious!!

Looks across the back 4, clearly sees the forward and plays a beautiful pass right into his path pmsl

Didn't realise it was a cup game, there were noticeably less cars parked on Lightbowne road just before kick off.

1300 there (of which nearly 300 were away fans)

Is that another loss leader or bonus profit as it was a cup game?

As mentioned above the money is split. Considering 2,200 were there last week and most likely not too many away fans then that is poor form especially when you add in that the big gimps weren’t playing either.
Whatever happened to that love in with The 1958 group? Another failed attempt to gain more support…..

Perhaps they are getting really desperate now ?
Throw enough shite at the wall (The 1958 Collab.) and hope that done of it sticks.
The novelty has definitely worn off, with gates seldom getting above 1,800, despite being up the top of the table for most of the season.
Hope they get a shite draw in the Trophy, although thought they'd have topped 1,500 against Darlington...

I know comparisons can be made with the League Cup, comparing attendances with PL gates, but pretty much just over 50% of the Splitters who went to the game the previous weekend, didn’t bother with the cup game. And these are meant to be “co owners” lol.

If this is punk football, then they are at the “flogging a dead horse” period

Perhaps the FA Trophy matches are not included in a Season ticket ?
If so, that's a massive number of bucketeer season ticket holders who have gone AWOL on a weekend with no Premier League distractions.
There was an album by the Exploited (and a film) called "Punk's Not Dead".
Well, think (and hope) these slogan-led Splitters are on their last legs...

I see what you did there!

Maybe our agent provocateur @Mostonisblue can tell us how many season ticket holders they have? I think last season it was around 600-700. So perhaps they all turned up but the “walk up” on the day fans were missing in action. Either way, these “co-owners” clearly aren’t that arsed.

Away at Halifax, so no bar and pie money and the prospect of a crowd that would be no bigger, possibly smaller, than if they’d been drawn at home. Halifax fans have been taking umbridge with the owners and staying away this season.

12th in the Conference.
The Bucketeers Army will be out in force for this one. Will be a good day for shaking buckets.
The Rag Sox were due to be at home to Workington that day so now it’s another piss poor mid week attendance at Pallet Park!

It’s not all bad news for them. The losers at this stage get £1,250. That’ll probably pay for the charabanc to West Yorkshire! The winners get £4,500, so if they do manage to jam a win, it’ll be an ugly scene to see the directors all trying to get their snout in the trough first.

I bet the buckets were very prominent.

Let’s hope the splitters have "no future".
