Its great that our GREAT club has moved on from the dark days of level 3 football, and its great that we can now plan the annual trip to Europe, but in our darkest days, the fans seemed a lot more up for it, enjoyed it more, and had a houmour that was second to non.
what i fear, is that what carried us from season to season was that bond, that real blues had, it seems to me , that OK the goal posts have been moved, but there isnt as much enthusiasm at matches, we seem to have lost a large part of our personality, its still the same club, but bar, HAMBERG. the DERBY, BIN DIPPERS,spuds , the atmosphear is missing its soul, the atmosphear at maine road was special, because of the fans, after all the stadium was at best, like a continetal quilt, but it had a personality all of its own, i fear that we left that behind when we moved, i fear we wont get it back no matter how succesful we become, and i do feel were on the cusp of our greatist time in our history. i just feel we need to get the old atmosphear back on a more concistant basis, as it will make matchdays even more special.

Back then we were at rock bottom. We had nothing to lose.

Now, it's completely different. We analyse every result, every performance, every player, every substitution, every tactical move all because it now matters (based of course on where we want to be).

We will become the big scalp - witness that bloody lot celebrating like they'd won the Champs League for the first time in their history last week - the team everyone bar none wants to beat.

Many of us have never really tasted success so there is conceivably a fear of success. We don't know what it is, what it feels like, what it tastes like, how to react. Then there's the fear of 'what's next?' and 'what if?' which follow that.

That's why we are uptight in my opinion. Once we've qualified for Champs League and/or got over that first trophy, I am sure normal service will be resumed.

We are an enigma to most at times, but we are a strong, loyal, hardy, resilient bunch. Through thick and thin.

Forza Mancini, forza celesti

Times change, mate. This is a new era for the club. Where we once used to glance nervously over at our shoulders near the foot of the table we're now looking at C.L. football and entertaining the likes of Barca and Real Madrid at Eastlands.

And I for one am loving every second of it.

I can remember being frightened stiff of going to places like Anfield, Highbury, Stamford Bridge etc. Thinking: "Fuck it! We're going to get destroyed." But not any more. We can hold our own against any of the Sky 4, as we've proved more than once this season.
