February 4th 2004...........Spurs 3 City 4

I was at the game with my partner who is a Spurs season ticket holder. She was very gentle at half time while the guys behind us (Spurs supporters of course) were planning their trip to Old Trafford for the next round. They were threatening to ditch their season tickets by the end. Happy days.

I was in lower tier with a mate and his son. Both spurs fans. Hang around after the game to watch all the goals on the big screens. I was told that sky cameras zoomed in on them and remarked how miserable they looked considering citys amazing comeback. Happy days. Typical city and probably typical spurs too.

what a game that was. i remember listening to it on radio manchester. macken was one of my favourite players back then haha

I was driving back from London to Prestwich without a radio whilst my boss, who was a dedicated Bolton fan, kept on texting the scores to me.
Got home just as the 4th went in.

I was in the upper tier with quite a few other Blues though with it being a midweek game we didn't take a huge support anyway, probably 1500-1800. I don't recall us being locked in either and it was even nastier than usual on the walk back to Seven Sisters tube after the match. It was fantastic to be there, especially after the shambolic performance at WHL just a couple of months earlier in the League Cup.

I do remember there were a couple of Blues near me who had to be prevented from punching each other's lights out at HT arguing about whose fault the goals were, will Blue on Blue violence ever stop? Lol

I asked for upper on the phone but was allocated lower, had never been upper but asked for them as the price was the same. It was a lot cheaper than the league cup game as they mirrored City's home prices. Went to all three, including the dead rubber 1-1 when Brian Lara got his record Test score after the game.

For me it is the shittest away - glad I am never going back.

Wasn't locked in they opened the doors but had police horses across the entrance for about 5 mins people were shouting either let us out or shut the fucking door as they were throwing things in

Took the better half for her first taste of Gods own team. Wanted to go at ht but luckily she made me stay. Best thing she's ever done

Blue on blue violence will only stop when 192 Romiley is priced out by a tourist in a half ‘n’ half.

They might squeeze in for Crewe (h) in the third round of the Carabao. £10 seats etc.

Was absolutely disgusted at Barton at half time. At that point we were heading for a hammering and he didn't want to be part of it IMO.

What a comeback!
