Feel sorry for Kolo Toure

All 3 should've stepped up and shown they deserve to play in the first team. None of em did and therefore how can you feel sorry for them?
maybe this was their one opportunity to make their mark as a Premiership player at City? I don't see either playing again this season in the 1st team and that's possibly more down to the team around them than themselves. It's not realistic to expect them to carry the midfield in these games and now realistic chances of development at the Premiership Champions has gone overnight. Training with the 1st team is one thing, but what are they training for? next season? A slim chance of a game in the FA Cup as a sub?

Surely you can see that for Kolo Toure, Razak, and Suarez progression in the League Cup was vital for them as individuals and I don't believe that as fans are not supposed to bother about individual players.

But the fact is that those three players were as guilty as any other as to the reason why they are not going to be given any more chances in the Capital One Cup!

I don't expect Suarez or Razak to carry the midfield... but I do expect them to show strength in possession, an ability to play a simple pass, the courage to impose themselves upon the game (given that their chances will be few and far between otherwise) and that they take their chances, just like every other professional in any other busienss has to take their chances when they arise.

Feel sorry for them? They should be coming out and apologising for their performances to those fans who braved horrendous conditions to watch them.

Razak and Suarez might not get another first team game this season, but that won't stop them picking up circa £100,000 each at the end of it... While Kolo's consolation will be fifty times that amount...
Horrendous conditions? Lol. If they were paid double that it still doesn't alter the fact that they've chosen to be football players and last night represented a big blow in that progression. Just because they are now on a different planet to us, that is their good fortune, but they are still at the end of the day people. And we forget that when we scream and yell at them. We all think we can be managers, but if any of us were ever fortunate to do that we'd have to suddenly consider them as human beings to manage them properly. Or maybe I'm just being a bit of a liberal

It's okay Marvin, in a couple of weeks time you'll have started a thread demanding we offload Kolo Toure in the January window because he's a drain on the club's resources!

You're nothing if not inconsistent!

;-)

Just working out my thoughts. I don't trust my own alone, but I can arrive at an opinion when you lot have mangled it

Should be have gone. There is no use for him. Also don't get why the likes of Razak are with the squad and not on loan. This capital one cup was the best chance for the youngsters to play.

I feel sorry for myself and the other poor bastards who had to sit there and watch this pricks absolute monstrosity of a performance. Fucking hopeless

His time had gone long before he joined city. Pathetic, weak, flimsy, flapper of a centre half. Absolutely shocking

I hope he gets fuck all opportunities at City again. Ever

LOL. And he looked like he'd had a few meat and potatoe pies since the last time he played. Yet another failed Hughes signing who is happy to pick up his £100K a week or whatever and refuse to go anywhere else. He obviously doesn't give a stuff about MCFC or his teammates, as was shown by his bored, hands in his pockets reaction to Aguero's winner on 13 May. Hope he never plays for us again.

I really don't understand the hate for him, he was a good player when we bought him and now he is decent cover. Thought he was one if the better players last night, and in his 2 performances this season I think he's done alright.

Typical bluemoon boo boy

Bollocks. He'd been crap for a while before sparkless spunked £16 million on the clown. Last night he proved that he isn't decent cover. An abomination of a centre half. Simply incabale of doing the bread and butter things that a premiership centre half is expected to do (ie win a fucking header. Not get muscled out of every fucking thing)
