Feelings about Wednesday?

Looks like fergiefuck lied about playing kids. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010/01/04/1724851/manchester-united-comment-sir-alex-fergusons-axe-ready-to" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2 ... e-ready-to</a>

Form book out of the window as always on derby days, regardless of kids/no kids. I would like to see a comfortable City win (wouldnt we all?) but doubt it will be that easy.

I am exactly the same! Last derby day we watched it at a mate's house, leading up to it I was thinking this will be great but I got slight worries creeping in, I got over to my mate's house, hadn't really had much to eat, butterflys in my stomach, sat all the way through the match barely uttering a word. Then by the end of it after that goal I felt destroyed. I just hope Wednesday is different, we will be in our house, hopefully there will be a packed out City crowd and we will give them so much grief. If he does play his kids I'm not sure if some of them would be able to take the atmosphere, I think it would definetly get to some of them, saying that though I think maybe a few of his first team will let it get to them too. Either way we are in the driver's seat, new manager, not conceeded a goal under him, won three out of three with him, got into the Fouth Round of the FA Cup whereas they got knocked out in the Third Round and are having other troubles too. My only worry now is that they will be well up for winning now, it's really one of the only trophys they can win now. Saying that though I think we are well up for it too, Semi-Final, derby match, seeing them slip up yesterday, I think we'll be confident now, just hope no one in the team gets too over confident.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one that is worried and confident in equal measures.

There is no doubt that the game is important to both teams and I predict a very competitive game, which will suit us especially at home but also at Old Trafford.

I think that both defences maybe prove to be an issue and so I think there will be goals. If we can take a lead and a clean sheet to Old Trafford I will be a very Happy Blue.

Mancini has, I think, got what it takes in terms of dealing with the big games. Although his first three games are not the some type of challenge that United pose he's made the right calls to give me the confidence he knows what he's doing.

Wish I was as confident as some of the posters on here, but I think it will be very close over the two legs. With defenders out on both sides, there could be goals, but Mancini seems to have us well drilled in that area no matter who plays, so hopefully we'll be OK. I'm sure they'll be worried about our attacking threat and expect them to try and stop us any way they can, but we're made of strong stuff these days and I don't expect us to be intimidated. Hoping for a Hamburg-like atmosphere and a lead to take to the swamp. I'm nervous, but optimistic, and can't wait to get there now!
