Feelings towards the current side

Personally, I really dont give a fuck. There are far more important things in life.......Our Club, the people who work for it everyday , like everyone else is going through a shitty year.

What I care about is everyone looking after themselves and who they can in their community to get through what will be a hard winter.

No team looks solid yet, some teams seem to deliberately mis-officiated so it s all wide open. I hope our team just bounce on and hit 3rd gear is this run of games. Enough to make an effort during the second half of the season.

I have lost all expectation.

Why are people trying to work out whats wrong?
Its easy! Weve lost world class players and replaced with mediocrity!
Not sure why people are questioning where its going wrong when its so obvious

our recruitment has been appalling. Utterly fucking terrible.

whos to blame for that?

stop thinking the players we have will replicate what players of 2 years ago did.

they wont. They cant !!!

I’d been looking forward to potentially getting in a somewhat full ground for the title run in

Now i’m looking forward to summer and getting shut of most of this lot Sterling, Mahrez, Rodri, Jesus, Mendy, Zinchenko

Add ake (no where near standard), berni (unfortunately) and cancelo to that list

Spurs level players for £60million. thats our squad basically. The use of our resources has been incredibly poor and now certain players are gone its showing. We should be constantly be going for the best.

Sorry to say but dippers have spent 400m to construct their current squad, while we have more than billion euros. This is according to CIES, which further confirms our wastefulness in the market.

City constantly get ripped off for players.
We do get ripped off, but our targets are part of the reason.

We will never go for the Andy Robertson, or the Mane, or the Son. We've advertised to every club in Europe that £60m is what we're willing to pay for squad players.

Need to stop this holistic bollocks or trying to appease those cuntish clubs in the hateful 8/G14 and sign some proper players that will instantly improve our attack. No fucking about. Go for Haaland, Son and Grealish, or Sancho, players of that level.

And fuck Rodri and Mendy off to any club daft enough to have them.

If we don't then this will be our standard for a few seasons it seems.

To be fair to City, I don't think we have over £500mill to spend on all those players. Not to mention FFP.

And as you know, City have a transfer budget structure. £100mill for a player isn't in that structure. That comes from the top. So City aren't going to bid for any of those players anytime soon.

However, City will throw the bank safe at Messi if he comes to City *on a free* next season.

So we arent competing at the top level of players anymore

If the owner/board seriously want the CL and regular league titles those restrictions are going to have to change.

For all the doom and gloom though, I don’t buy in to the narrative that we only have 1 or 2 world class players.

Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, De Bruyne and Aguero are all still world class.

The issue is who we are putting around them and the fact that there’s a lot of square pegging in round hole-ing going on. Cancelo at left back, Gundogan as an attacking mid comes to mind immediately.

Think Pep needs a new number 2 or an intervention from Khaldoon.

Dortmund got to CL final with cheap side in 2013. Monaco to semis in 2017. You don't fucking need hugely expensive team to reach those heights. How the cash is being spent is the problem.

Correct, our player spending strategy and individual transfer limits are catching up with us now.
I'd rather spend 100 mil for one world class player instead of 60 mil x 2 for Rodri, Mendy etc etc level players. They win you fuck all.
I'm curious to see what we spend to replace Sergio and our strategy to replace him.

Consider that we wouldn’t fund Mbappe but were happy to spend more than that on Rodri, Mahrez and Cancelo. 3 pretty middling players.

One is world class but probably not where he's currently playing as a number 10.

Its horrible. But its what it is. No point people trying to compare and seek that same style of play
Feels like limbo.
The media bemoan the Rags style of play, that they need an identity, but whats ours?

To be the best attacking team in England. That’s what we were under large spells of Mancini’s, Pellegrini’s and Pep’s reigns. We aren’t at the moment and haven’t been since the start of last season.

Walker, a defender that can't defend or do his offensive job of crossing is world class :-/
