Fell Walking.

Slightly off topic,but me and my nephew walked up to The Trinnacle near Dovestones last friday,he lives in Uppermill and knows all that area.
I really enjoyed myself,we were out six hours.

Anybody walked all the Wainwright Fells in the Lake District? I started last year about half way through.

I haven't but this guy has as i watched a vlog of him doing several Wainwright's last week. You'll have to check which vlog though as i can't remember which one it is.

A few years ago we were in the Lakes with my son and his wife and she said "I'd like to do a "Wainwright", but an easy one.

So I chose Binsey which AW said was probably the easiest one in the area, a pleasant short stroll to the summit.

Coming down, she tripped over a small rock and broke her ankle...lol!

Done nearly all of them over the last fifty odd years, plus The Pennine Way twice, plus had a letter from the great man himself.

That is tremendous, typical dry Wainwright humour in that letter.lol Great achievement walking the PW twice. I've heard it can be a slog.

I've done bits of the Pennine Way, got it pencilled in for 2025. Did the Coast yo Coast in 1980 with my Dad, and did it again with my eldest in 2011 when she was 14.

I restarted Wainwright bagging from scratch just before lockdown. Currently on 84/214.
Favourite ascent is Scafell via Lord's Rake and the West Wall Traverse.
