Fellaini and Baines

Re: Fellaini and Baines to Man United

If Kenwright has anything about him he will insist on a clause that says Gollum won't raid Everton for their best players as other clubs have done when they have let managers go

Moyes out of contract, doesn't have to agree anything with Kenwright

Doesn't mean Kenwright will bend over for Moyes either.

Fellaini doesn't address their issues anyway. He's isn't a midfielder in the holding sense at all. They have a better target man/forward in the hole in Rooney anyway. Baines on the other hand would be a great signing for any club.

Re: Fellaini and Baines to Man United

I rate Felleini and I always thought he'd be a good understudy for Yaya. He's capable of dominating games and is technically pretty good. I agree he's exactly what Utd mean. But under Moyes, he's pretty much been used as a target for long balls, so let's hope he brings such great tactics to the swamp if he ever gets him. He'd definitely be pretty expensive though. Everton paid £15m for him themselves and I think he only recently signed a contract.

Moyes locked in talks with kenwright as written by the press = Moyes thrashing out deals for the players he wants from Everton. Phil Neville will be part of the back room staff... Mmmm let me have a think about that one. This has all been planned a long time ago. Baines is nailed on to go to the rags and I suspect so is Fellini.

Not sure about Fellaini but Baines is a sure thing, they've made enquiries before for him so this will make it a given.

Evra's in decline and they wanted to replace him last summer.

Isn't that why they signed Buttner?

Cover player.

Fabio was their long term plan but he's both injury prone an crap.

Re: Fellaini and Baines to Man United

I admit I do like Baines but think that Everton get the best out of him attacking-wise by playing him behind Pienaar - not sure he would get that at United as they do not have a consistently good left midfielder who could be trusted to drop back to cover forward runs.

Not sure about Fellaini - he is effective for Everton's "style" but not sure he is technically good enough - certainly not in Yaya's class. He also tends to get quite a few bookings. Would be quite happy for utd to splash the £30M it would take to get him away from Goodison if it meant that they could not get Bale or a similar talent.

As good as these two are, if I was a Utd fan they wouldn't the the signings I'd want. They should be looking at a centre-back, right-back and a top central midfielder

They're sorted at right-back. Rafael's very good. No Zabaleta obviously but very good nonetheless. They need a left-back much more than a right-back, imo. Agree re defender and centre-mid though. They need energy as well as quality in there.

Re: Fellaini and Baines to Man United

Shouted this last night, gutted if baines does and I think fellaini would be useful at the scum. Gonna love seeing Moyes transfer approach now after all the shit he's give out over the years, surely he's not gonna sign some smaller clubs best players?
