Fellow FOC's thank you.

I'm 54, went my 1st game in 77 aged 8, but now i've seen the rules of qualification for being a FOC i realise i'm still a
Young Guv'nor.

This generation of blues is the luckiest in history in most respects but as a 67 FOC, I cant complain we had the best of it. To be stood on the old Kippax at the 1976 league cup semi going absolutely mental. To be sat in the new Kippax for the Wigan play off. To have been through the 2000 promotion season with the tension of Birmingham home and the madness of Blackburn away. To see Keegans side rip the championship up for arse paper two years later. We had the glories of the Mercer then Book eras in the 60s and 70s and would not change a thing in spite of the shit that followed. My dad passed away in 1996 a lifelong fanatical blue in despair at the state of his club and as his coffin was lowered " Dont look back in anger" thundered out from a near by school fate summed it all up really. As the final whistle sounded at Wembley last season the culmination of my dreams since boyhood, i said thats for you dad as tears ran down my face. Ive seen it all now they can put is in the cpnference now dont give a fuck, us FOCs have seen it all. CTID.

Me too. That was one of the best atmospheres at a game I've ever experienced. Incredible and it took them a long time to kick us out.
