Probably stating the obvious but if your fence posts are in decent nick the DIY job is a lot easier.

They haven't banned people going to work "yet". They only say travel to work if it's essential, ie if you cannot do the work from home.

You should only leave the house for one of four reasons:

  • Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible.
  • One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household.
  • Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.
  • Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home.

This is the saving grace in a desperate situation!

Wickes stores are shut but they are taking home delivery orders and on line click and collect orders.

B&Q are completely shut.

I actually reclaimed some of my old panels. Took them apart, throwing away the rotted bits and added new rails at the edges. Painted the planks with 2 coats before putting them back together with the new rails. Monton fences sell the rails and extra planks. You need plenty of galvanized nails.

Wouldn't go plastic panels though. Look great new but the colour fades quickly if in direct sunlight.

Looks like they're not doing them at the minute.
* Or any fencing.
