If he appeals he can play. If he accepts it the ban kicks in from 6pm tomorrow so he misses our game. If he appeals though which I doubt it it will almost definately be extended
And as sky pointed out if he appeals and plays it could lead to a 4 match ban...
Exactly mate, the FA won't be happy their appeals process is being taken the piss out of (even if it is a joke!) so if they find that he's appealing just so he can start the game they'll throw the book at him

that takes care of the Arsenal and AC Milan game +2, go on Rio dare yer

Re: Ferdinand Could/Will Miss the Semi.....

Fergascum is so arrogant he probably thinks they will win any appeal. So they will appeal and he will play tomorrow.

But don't worry - he's shit anyway.

Re: Ferdinand Charged

From the other thread.....If the Rags are stupid they will appeal......IMO.

It depends where their priority lies. Stopping City getting to Wembley, or maintaining a challenge in the Prem against Chelsea. Looking at those games and their dodgy defence at the moment I`d want him available for Villa and Everton away. Otherwise Chelsea will be over the hills and far away in a months time.
Hopefully, lets expect to face Orange and Evans.

The fact that they've charged the semi-human gargoyle means the tide really must be turning. There's no way this would have been allowed a couple of years ago.
It's changed since Baconface had his pop at Wiley. I think the refs decided then that they were getting nothing out of them any more. No way would we have got that penalty last Tuesday normally. I posted yesterday that I reckoned that even if he was charged then the ref would have said it didn't warrant a red, (like Webb did for Ronaldo kicking out last season) but I was obviously wrong.

The FA have grown a pair at last.

Re: Ferdinand Charged

(d) Decisions
The Regulatory Commission will decide whether the Charge is proved or not proved. In the
event that the Charge is proved, the Regulatory Commission will have the power to impose
the original penalty offered or to increase the penalty if it believes a denial to have been an
abuse of process or frivolous.

Edit: Ignore. Being stupid.

Game doesn't start until 8pm. Ferdinand and United will have all day to repsond.

Yeah, I reread the statement and realised what I hadn't picked up on the first time. Hence the edit to my post, which you quoted ;)

Re: Ferdinand Charged

utd will appeal and the charge will be dropped......you just know it will happen!!

Re: Ferdinand Charged

He will not appeal this.

A frivelous appeal ( which it would be) would mean an extra game ban. Look at Mascherano last season.

Add to this the importance of the Game tomorrow; Taggerts last realistic chance of one more Trophy before Retirement and I can see the FA extendeing the Ban to six matches.

Re: Ferdinand Charged

Not sure he would have played Rio as the game will be very intense and demanding, and he has only just returned, and they play an important game at the weekend. I'm not bothered if he plays. I suppose the less options Ferguson has the better
