A frivolous appeal will carry extra match bans, maybe extended to 7 games. The twats will have to take this one on the chin. Hahahahahaha.

Hope you're right mate, FA need to stay strong on this one - Taggart said this on Saturday :

As recently as Saturday, Ferguson was bullish about the battle that lay ahead, using his programme notes ahead of the Arsenal cup-tie to declare: "I now face an FA charge for what, to my mind, was simply telling the truth.

"I will be defending myself strongly when my FA appeal hearing comes up.

"In fact, I am looking forward to the challenge because, to my mind, I have not said anything out of place, however much the media urge the FA to take action.

"The papers keep on and on about it because Manchester United are involved, and they failed to get the FA compliance unit to pick up on the Wayne Rooney incident in the Wigan game.

"I won't be on the back foot when I put my case to the FA, though.

"I don't think sticking up for my team makes me a villain, especially when you consider that Manchester United have one of the best disciplinary records in the country."

A points deduction would be too strong just for asking a ref to do what they are paid to do properly. Managers shouldn't need reasons to critisise refs, but if they're making so many mistakes in 90, surely someone should say something? Or should we all continue being content at referees' abject displays?

I said 'obviously I'd support a points deduction' because it's the scum. The point is SAF has been getting away with it for years. Most managers who criticise are a bit more guarded and don't carry Fergies level of menace; they probably won't be in a job within a few weeks, which is why baconface has more responsibilty, which he abuses.

This one certainly wasn't:
Pulis: If it was a Stoke City player playing at Old Trafford and he committed two fouls like that, what do you think would have happened? I didn’t have a word with the ref afterwards. I gave him a miss. Referees will make good decisions and bad ones. But when they make decisions actually affecting a game of football, it’s disappointing. We are very upset. We’ll take it on the chin, as this football club always does. But if the shoe was on the other foot, it might have been different. That’s the biggest disappointment. We’ve now had four major decisions go against us in nine games. Three were banker penalties which weren’t given and now this. People say they even themselves out over a season but that’s rubbish. I think this was our 85th game in the Premier League and in all those we’ve had only three penalties.”

And regarding whoever said that we'd appeal, don't think you can appeal twice can you? Besides I think he'll take his medicine now and leave it there. Five matches....

Managers do most of their work in the changing room before the game and at half time and he'll still be able to do that. When a player gets a ban, he can't play, so when a manager gets a similar ban, he shouldn't be allowed access to the changing room on the day of the game - that's a proper ban.

Having said that, Taggart's main role on the touchline is to intimidate match officials, so at least he'll be denied that pleasure.

Fergiescum: "I don't think sticking up for my team makes me a villain, especially when you consider that Manchester United have one of the best disciplinary records in the country."

They should have a bloody appalling record if all their bullying players got red-carded for jostling and swearing at officials, orchestrated by their manager.

Exactly!

Scum's disciplinary record is only so good because...

it's the scum and they get so many decisions go their way.

Gargoyle should have been sent off twice, not to mention shrek against Wigan!

Re: Fergie 5 Match touchline ban....

Fergie has already appealed and therefore cannot appeal again!

His 5 match ban includes the FAC semi and Arsenal V Utd.

The reason for 5 match ban is because of an additional 2 game suspended ban from last year!

City will have no excuses at Wembley but you can gurantee that (when they lose) Utd will have their excuses!
