Bit of a disappointment that he retired rather than died.
We don't encourage this sort of comment.

No, but you liked it :)

+1 from me, lalala

After all the Thatcher comments recently (and before her death) would certainly be hypocritical to critique or censor anyone making similar remarks about Ferguson.

Re: Ferguson replacement

Webb has obviously had a fall out with his drunken ex boss because he never gave them the usual penalty V Chelski, so not much point in throwing away a fiver.

Numpty hughes is still without gainful employment, but its too much to hope even they are stupid enough to give him the job.

Saw this beauty on a football forum from a rag.

'Shares have dropped by $102 since trading opened today'

Followed by

'Wow, that isn't good for the club, that is a big fall indeed.'

Completely oblivious.
I think a decimal point is missing in there.
Shares aren't crashing. They dropped about 60c in ealry trading but have moved back up since. Might be a different matter when Moyes is officially announced though.

But they're a money-making machine don't forget and there's going to be little short or even medium term impact on the finances. But as we've said before, if they don't stay up there at the top then things could change.

I wonder if the Glazers will get out while the going is good?

If you were in a bar this weekend and you looked to your right and Ferguson is stood there, in all honesty what would you say or do?
I think I'd walk over, shake his hand and say thank you, then walk away without another word to wash my hand.

He'd think I was a rag thanking him for all he's done, but I'd know I was thanking him for finally f*cking off, and especially for giving them moyes (please announce this asap so nobody can change their minds).

Surely if Moyes did go there, he wouldn't dare poach any Everton players after his views on the Lescott transfer...

The amount of times I've seen 'where having a party when fergie dies' on this site.
