it's my little lads birthday today and I've had him with me all week :-), like I got two presents myself with this news on top of being able to wake him up singing squashed tomatoes and stew.

Not for a while yet

They will still be a cash cow for Sky and their armchairs. The media will try and brainwash the rag fans by saying Moyes is the right man for the job and spout other shite about him(even though hes won fuck all)

However if he doesnt hit the ground running the media will slowly turn on him and the club

I will give it about 12-18 months

Far as I'm concerned I feel nothing to celebrate. Personally I would have preferred to see him retire in relative humiliation at least having lost the title again rather than won it back, I would sooner have seen him descend into the kind of bitter barbed comments that even his paymasters at the fa and the scum boardroom could not ignore resulting in his ultimate sacking. Life however aint perfect he has gone and I believe that the spectre of a rival has hung high and large in his thinking. Ten years ago even the most optimistic of us would have thought that would be the re-emergence of Liverpool, but it has become increasingly apparant that he see's an enemy in us that he is unsure even he can beat, to be honest, even we dont know if thats what the future holds for us but i'm sure if he had the slightest belief he could do it he would take us on. I might be wrong, he might be afraid of the mourinho inspired chelsea dynasty, one way or another, i just feel he is running scared, time will tell what he is scared of. Anyway Good riddance, I hope you're retirement is short and blighted with ill health Bacon, I make no apologies for that, just as he would make no apologies either. I suppose thats as close to a modicum of respect I can bring to this.

Just the start.

Watch how history is re-written over the next few weeks and Moyes is labelled as some sort of fucking demi-god who has won everything there is to win in the game.

They are already blowing smoke up his arse pmsl

What, like that stat they had about his away record?

For once on the BBC coverage there was someone brave enough to speculate that Ferguson has appointed a 'mini me.'
I believe Ferguson believes that.
He is wrong.

Well that was just a seed and hopefully that will grow into a tree

Baconface will still have a lot influence within the media so im not expecting huge changes in the media just yet

The big club bias will remain there to help Moyes (though I'm not convince he'll be take over yet) Love this spend issue theyre talking about 14 million per season, dont sound half bad until you think they signed cole for british record 6 million in 1995 which was what? 9 years into his reign. the spending done over the years was substantial, for the successes (such as signing Ronaldo for 18 mil - then selling him for 80) there were a ridiculous amount of failures Taibi, Veron, Podolski, Djemba Djemba Djemba, Bebe, the list could go on and on. The one thing is none of these came cheap, some failed some sadly for us didnt. The signing of Schmeical was probably his best piece of business.

It's still quite a negative thing to report on an incoming manager. I was only posting tongue in cheek initially though, as my agenda days are gone. I did think it was funny though how Sky are already reporting negative stats about a manager who is likely to come into the club they are supposed to favour. Bottom line though is they do that with all managerial changes if a record isn't that great. They could though have reported on a more positive record.
