The theory of not wanting to damage his legacy, is an interesting one.
Why didn't he outline to the Glazers what was needed to keepMUFC at the top ?
He must have known that dour Davie Moyes would never succeed ?
His obstinacy over the Rock of Gibraltar siring rights resulted in the Glazers taking over.
The GPC was supposedly the person who saw the CR37 deal "over the line" - according to Wio.
He probably had some influence in the coming home of Mike Phelan and Schteve McClaren ?
So, since his retirement, he has very little to help his club, apart from taking a lot of cash for his ambassador'role...
