Margaret Thatcher was the best leader this country has ever had. Only one to come close to her was Churchill.
It's that bacon faced twat for me all day long - preferably as a result of his purple head exploding immediately after witnessing the mighty blues winning the league. Ferguson RIP May 2012.

Imagine if Fergie did the same during a derby game. That would be hilarious. Ratface Chuckle bombing down from the stands in a vein attempt to give his lover the kiss of life. Within 15 minutes of him being pronounced dead the scummy club would be selling the commenorative tee shirts and running tours at £35 a head to visit the spot where he keeled over.

if you list the witches achievements next to churchills then there is no comparison.

saved the country from being overun by the nazis, thus enabling democracy to return to europe and stopped millions more being subject to genocide.

ripped the heart out of the industrial base of the uk
destroyed the link between the comunity and the police by using the police as a private army.
splintered the NHS so that it became a postcode lottery
sold off the nationalised industries for peanuts to fund short term tax cuts
stopped national planning for infrastructure (railways, gas telecoms, water, roads, airports etc)
oversaw the highest level of unemployment in UK history.
cut the armed services more than any other leader in history (now overtaken by slimey Dave)

I take your point but it was the courage and barvery and resoursefulness and dertermination and never give up attitude of the people of Great Britain that saved the country from being over run by Nazis. Churchill was a very strong leader but to be fair we would have prevailed whoever was PM (Plus of course the US was a giant help at a critical time). Alot of the decisions that Churchill made were no brainers. It was win at all costs - nothing else mattered.
MT on the other hand made real changes and some very tough and unpopular decisions for the good of the country. Decisiona that many other leaders would not have had the courage or conviction or foresight to make.
I do take your point but I stand by my original comments. Its all opinion anyway.

what decisions exactly did she take that were actually for the good of the country?
