Yes. One of the greatest premiership managers of all time. worth a read

Although through gritted teeth I was having this debate with my eldest lad on the way home from West Ham who insisted he’d never even look at the book cover, The Rags have over-achieved with an average side in the last few years which is testament to what a great manager they had and which is also now being even more proven with new ‘football genius’ they have in charge of the same squad.. Without making the thread about the Rags and back to the original questions – As a football supporter you’d surely want to read an insight to the man.

Re: Bacon's Face's Book

I was genuinely looking forward to it if it was a proper no holds barred book. It isn't, very far from it by the sounds of early reports, so I'll be giving it a swerve until the following conditions are simultaneously met,

1) I have a 24 hour flight somewhere
2) I can get it for free

Re: Bacon's Face's Book

No, because there is no way it can be a truthful or accurate account. He cannot tell the full story about the racehorse business, and he cannot discuss the true reason why such an average side achieved so much. That would entail writing about ghe bullying tactics, intimidation of referees and assistants, grooming of the same through gifts and texts, using his Sir status to benefit that shower if a club, and the capitulation of the FA towards him particularly with discipline issues. It would be like reading a whitewashed pile of bollocks

From The Guardian:

6) Manchester City's success was hard to stomach

A whole chapter dedicated to Manchester City's title victory details how their Premier League success was difficult for Ferguson to stomach. His wife, Cathy, told him that the final day of the 2011-12 campaign was the worst day of her life, and that he was determined to usurp them before retirement. Ferguson says United "absolutely battered" City during their 6-1 defeat at Old Trafford, but insisted there was no animosity towards Roberto Mancini. However, Ferguson said Mancini "let himself down" by allowing Carlos Tevez to return to the side after the Bayern Munich incident. JR

Ferguson also revealed the dressing-down he gave the players after they lost 6-1 to Manchester City at Old Trafford in that season.

“After the final whistle, I informed the players they had disgraced themselves,” he writes.
