Congratulations to Fernandinho on being given the Brazil captaincy. I'm delighted for him.

Dinho has been one of our most consistent performers since his arrival - he was my PotS last season - and fully deserves this recognition.

It is a great honour to play for your country and an even bigger one to captain it.

I reckon you could count the bad games he's had here on just one hand.

Remarkably consistent player.
