Fernandinho - 2017/18 Performances

Said he was on the decline a couple of weeks ago. Has made me eat shit ever since. Top lad Dinho.
 
Two wonderful performances this week. His ability to receive from Ederson and spring us up the park in one swift pass has been a joy to watch. He looks even leaner and fitter this season, which is testament to himself and to the coaching staff.
 
Is he a legend yet? Yes I think so. Fantastic performance again. Close to Motm. His distribution was strong again yesterday ands snuffing out of counter attacks exceptional.
 
Back to his best ever form.

Lets take care of him and not play him every single game or he'll get burned out and we'll be fucked.
 
It's no coincidence that he improves and suddenly our back 2 look imperious.

I hope he can sustain this level of performance. I thought he was gash against Everton but in recent weeks he's steadily improved. He's finally finding space to receive the ball too, making acres of space for Kev and Silva. This was something missing and was hurting our overall performance. Now that it seems to have clicked, he looks a lynchpin in everything. Kudos!
 
He'll always be unappreciated by fans of other teams but they just don't get it, he's central to everything. A mad genius and a real warrior.

I feel for Dinho, it must be the same feeling Barca fans feel for Busquets.

Yep, part of the reason our front 5 look so great is Fernandinho putting in the dirty work. We always say we'll be gutted the days that Silva, Aguero, etc leave but to be honest I can't imagine a City team without Dinho either. Hopefully this extension gets done soon. Hard to believe this is already his fifth season with us.
 
Top quality player.

Was delighted when we signed him from Shaktar. Has an attacking & creative side to him but his role at City is to keep the defensive side of the team tight. A job he does very well.

Kind of back to front this, mate...

He's having to cover the fullbacks less which in turn reserves his energy... he was dropping in to that back line frequently last year, however the triangles stones and ota play with him is finally baring fruit, he's merely got his tactics down with a years worth of pep...
 
always been one of my favorite players. selfless. has everything but always gives what we need. crazy to have him yaya gundo kev and the two silvas all at once... not sure any midfield comes close to ours atm.
 
Still my favourite player. Still fuming over some of our fickle "fans" who started writing off after a couple of ordinary games playing a position he's never played before.

Boggles the mind how stupid and sheep like people can be.
 
His passing game has improved tremendously over the last few weeks. I'll happily admit I knocked him on that front not too long ago but it seems he's proving me wrong.

playing with the confidence that he's honed his role and can play from back to front and be ambitious. Certainly full-backs help, but I think Delph's role of occasionally covering inside to make a 2 man midfield then allows him to maraud further forward.
