Well we didn't pay 25m for Garcia.

The Hazard deal I don't believe rested on us paying the money anyway, he wanted to go to Chelsea. I think that was made clear and that is why we pulled out.

Yep,just think some times we may need to push the boat out a bit further.See how we got fucked last year with Van Persie.Now that did come back to bite us on the arse,but I don`t intend to go into the ways and wherefores of that argument again. ;)

The 34m fee is a joke.

But still agree it is not my money, and we failed last summer with transfers, we have to correct some mistakes.

Fernandinho seems a very good players, for this fee he should be hell of a player for us with big impact in the whole season. With Pellegrini I am optimistic ha can bring out the best from his players unlike Mancini.

The thing is clear from now on play the release clause for Isco and Cavani dont mess around.

They are world class talents, Isco needs 1-2 more years maybe but who would be better to coach him than Pellegrini while Cavani is already world class striker.

If we spend 34m for Fernandinho who is not really a world class player but a very good one than talents like Isco and Cavani should be bought soon dont care about the money.

Little bit of fun if Isco would be cheaper in the end than Fernandinho. (Modric's fee last year, or Fabregas to Barca.)

If we pay £34million for Fernandinho, a Brazilian midfielder who's played the majority of his footballing career in the Ukraine and is 28 years old, but lose out on Cavani, a prolific striker who is entering the prime of his career, because we refuse to pay £50million then it's shocking business from the club.

£34million is probably enough money to get talking to Juve about Vidal.

While it seems like ages ago when Di Marzio called this transfer, i'm pretty sure he said at the time it was for £17million or something? Something must have gone wrong in the negotiations for us to be paying £34million for him now.

Di Marzio's reported fee when he broke the news was a shade under £24million. But a long time passed between then and his signing where something happened (Shakhtar reneged probably).

No, because they were signing a global superstar who is the second best player in the world, and paid off that transfer fee in shirt sales within a year.

I remember similar comments about wages/fees when we signed Yaya. Not bothered one bit what the total cost of the transfer will be. He's a top player who will be a revelation in the PL IMO.

This is nothing.

What was really embarassing was when we paid £70m for Yaya, plus wages of £375,000 a week.

Waste of fucking money that was.
