Fernandinho is hugely underrated

Fuck off. Two words to prove your argument is shite and the thread pulled.........Chris Smalling. Properly underrated player who never puts a foot wrong, will be the England captain for a decade, and will be captain of the world's biggest, and greatest, club.

Fernandinho has actually made our midfield look solid defensively pretty much single handedly, massively under appreciated. Favourite player in the side alongside Kompany.

One of the most annoying parts of football in my opinion, people instantly go for the goal scorers or the hyped up player of the moment. Don't get me wrong Aguero is our best player can change the game in a heartbeat probably is my favourite player as well because I was a striker but I can understand peoples opinions when they say Fernandinho or Zabaleta or possibly Kompany falls under this. Players that do the hard yards or game-saving challenges or motivate the team around them. Its partly down to social media and numb-nut journalists who can't recognise different aspects of the game, they see stats columns or goals or assists and think thats the be all.

Agree, goalscoring and assist stats can inflate ones perception of talent. Many people will shoot me down but Ronaldo is a perfect example, he's been nowhere near top 3 in the world this season let alone top 10, yet because he scores 5 against Sporting Gijon he's the best in the world.

Brilliant player
Adds tempo to our midfield and puts out more fires than anybody else.
He is the only reason we can (almost) get away with playing Yaya and the likes of Silva and KDB in the same 11. Always bailing the big man out....
Very underrated.

Hold my hands up, smalldini wins!

Rag :-)

He's class and what's great for us he plays like he's still 25/26. Think he will be a top player for a while as long as he stays injury free.

No disrespect to Barry and his fantastically cerebral game. But you don't need to watch Dihno more than once to know you are watching a supremely talented CM. Fernandihno pops off the screen like few central mids do without dribbling.

Different styles, but he pops off the screen like Micheal Essien used to for Chelsea. Flat out dominant.

Dude is a bloody gazelle with a pit bull mentality.
but that's the thing - we know how good Fern is because he helps us win football matches. why do we need some journo hack to clarify what we already know?

What a fantastic player to have in the squad, with a work rate second to none, always all through out each season as well. Does he ever get tired?
It'll be really interesting to see how Pep uses him.

Whilst Sergio and a certain day walker may run away with the voting for our player of the season, I think Dinho's been ridiculously outstanding all season.

Started poorly today then improved massively for the last 60mins... He's such a belting player, another I think will go up another level under pep... He won't have as much responsibility next year which can only be good for him, he should be a +10 scoring midfielder!!!

We paid a lot for him considering his age, but he has been fantastic since day 1 and shows no sign of slowing down.

Had a great game today but I don't see what the hype is I think he gives the ball away a lot at important times and I think they're are better out there.

Sorry I know their are a few Fernandinho lovers out there but got to be honest.
