Got a new song for him lads,

Shaikh Mansour, went to kraine, in a Ford Mondeo. Brought us back a midfielder, Luiz Fernandinho!
 
We’ve ‘released him’ yet our Facebook accounts still talking about him,
Also we’ve not said goodbye in any capacity despite 8 years of fantastic service.

We haven’t released him. He is out of contract at the end of June and may or may not agree a new one with us before then.

Why would they print the news now if it doesn’t take affect yet?
News is current events, not future events.

All joking aside, what’s yours and the other guy’s issue? Im just making the observation we haven’t even entertained the fact he’s leaving yet, which would be odd if we weren’t confident he’d renew.

It seems he wants two years. So if he won’t sign, anyone would be the better option as he won’t be here of his own accord.

They publish the list when most players enter the final month of their contract - start of June with them terminating at the end of June. I’m not sure if it’s to help get feelers out for players who are likely to be let go as their contract hasn’t yet been renewed or what.

It does, however, state at the bottom of the published list that some players may renew and still remain with their club beyond 30th June.
