we played 2 in midfield. they played 6. that's right, they played 6 in midfield.

when fernandinho gets the ball, several bayern players run towards him , you'd think fernandinho can quickly pass it to another City player .. well who is he supposed to pass to, there's no other team mates available, Toure is being marked, Navas is on the wing and marked by Alaba. Samir Nasri is hiding somewhere. Pellegrini did a wonderful job setting our players up tonight. One more crazy loss like this and he'll get sacked. Him and that Txiki Bergainstain guy.

Nasri and Navas were both isolated wide I believe to double up on their wingers for our fullbacks. This wasn't pretty.

all we needed one was one more midfielder in front of Toure and Fernandinho.

At 75 mins , Mr Pellegrini brings on Silva and puts him in the hole. Not suprisinlgy we played a lot of better. But there's no point in playing good for only 15 minutes of the game.

Everyone is amazed and dazzled by Bayern when they aren't even that good. We simply made it very, very easy for them .

Fernandinho & Yaya should take no blame. Thought they worked hard against 5 man Bayern who swamped the middle. Fernandinho was not the problem tonight.

They were not in my 10.....

I would maybe agree on Kompany, thought Navas at least worked hard although end result was shite, and may e Aguero who worked hard.

What are Y.Toure, Nasri and Fernandinho supposed to be then? Semi-pros? You're only fooling yourselves here. If Pellegrini and the board shared your opinion, they wouldn't be playing for us. No one is going to be popping champagne after tonights performance.

Nasri was playing wide to track Robben.

It was definitely a midfield 2 against 3. Often times 4 when Muller dropped deep.

Sometimes 2 against 6. Yes, 6.

Yaya and Fern just ran and ran and ran. They were gassed, especially Yaya.

No surprise. They were ALWAYS going to eat bypassed.

Fernandinho pressures Kroos, Kroos just passes it to Schweinsteiger or one of their plethora of open men, right before Dinho tackles.

What can he do? It's futile.

At some points, Bayern were passing the ball around making us chase on purpose just to tire Dinho and Yaya.

No chance for our midfield two tonight.

Tactics let them down, not the other way around.

Thought he actually had an ok game considering. Can only remember him and Clichy every actually getting near to a tackle all game. Can't be expected to do much in midfield when you are hopelessly outnumbered. Bayern had Kroos or Bastian drop into defence to pick up the ball from the keeper drawing out Yaya and then simply passed it through the middle and suddenly they were 2/3 players vs just Fernandinho.

Pellegrini simply got it hugely wrong in playing 4 attackers today, Bayern must of been pissing themselves they'll not play against such an attacking side all season. It needed a 3 man midfield minimum.
